FAQ About Solar LED lighting
How Do SELS SOLAR LIGHTS WORK?
During the day, SELS Solar lights receive sunlight directly from the sun’s beams. The UV rays pass through the solar panel, and are converted to energy. This energy is stored in the internal Lithium PO4 battery or Lead Acid Battery. At night, when no light is detected, a sensor is activated signaling the battery to power on the internal LED light, producing a well-lit lamp powerful enough to light residential areas, parks, streets and other recreational areas.

We want our brand to be associated with excellence, so we make sure our products offer the best quality technology we can find including our solar panels, batteries, LED chips, drivers, rust protection, and more.
WHY DO SELS SOLAR LIGHTS USE LIFEPO4 LITHIUM BATTERIES?
LiFePO4 batteries have a lifespan ten times longer than that of traditional lead acid batteries, dramatically reducing the need for battery changes. They operate with much lower resistance and consequently recharge at a faster rate. They are lighter than lead-acid batteries, usually weighing about 1/4 less.
LiFeP04 provides twice the battery capacity in the same amount of space. With operating ranges from -40 to 158 degrees Fahrenheit, LiFePO4 batteries handle far wider variations in temperature.
Lithium iron phosphate batteries are also more environmentally friendly and safer for use in any system. Other advantages of LiFeP04 technology include upper and lower voltage protection, dead short and reverse polarity protection, and a flame-retardant chemistry

FAQ About Solar LED Lighting
HOW LONG WILL MY SOLAR LIGHT STAY ON?
SELS solar lights have the capacity to stay on for up to 23 hours in the dark when fully charged. However, they will automatically shut off when daylight is sensored.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN IT IS CLOUDY, RAINY OR SNOWING?
No need to worry. Our solar panel will continue to charge the battery at a reduced rate even when it is cloudy or rainy, meaning the light will still turn on as long as the solar panel is not completely covered and receives some amount of sunlight.
HOW DOES THE SELS LIGHT KNOW WHEN TO TURN ON AND OFF?
For our Solar Garden lights, and some of our Park lights, the solar controller uses a photocell which senses the darkness to control when the light turns ON and OFF. When the sensor detects darkness it turns ON and when it detects light it turns OFF.

HOW DIFFICULT IS THE ASSEMBLY OF SELS SOLAR LIGHTS?
Our SELS Garden Lights require no assembly. There is a manual
turn on switch which can be located on the base of our models and needs to be turned on only once to activate your lamp.
DO SELS SOLAR LIGHTS COME WITH ANY WARRANTIES?
Yes, we have an all inclusive warranty of 5 years. Can I buy a replacement battery from SELS?
Yes, we carry all the batteries on our products so that in the event your product needs replacing, we will have exactly what you need.
